The color of dreams

The color of dreams

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

I fell with you this night...

"

I fell with you this night

Into an abyss of fluid light

A dragon dressed in gold

With lady of dreams he would behold…

Making love in sea’s spice

Voracious arousing paradise

Under the mystic moon

Falling deeper into soul’s cocoon…

Whispering wings closed tight

Sensuous shadows’ primal delight

Plunging fierce fleeting breath

Dangerous hunger, no fear of death…

Embraced in decadence

A dreamy, ethereal incense

Ravenous teeth and claws

Then a calm rising in flame’s pause…

Her heart became a fire

No more of flesh, only light’s desire

Wistful writhings in peace

Insatiable blaze of sweet release…

Transformed to the hauntings

Enfolded safe in the dragon’s wings

All melted into love

The color of dreams fathoms above…

The flow of this poem is sensual...charismatic! Love is so much more than two bodies meeting. It is the meeting of hearts, thoughts, and minds. It is a multicolored silk to wrap oneself in. What a gorgeous write this is, Craig. Lydi**

wow this has such rhythm and subtle rhyme...it moves with that beat of passion of a really romantic interlude---
i like the respect this shows to the act of really making love---much more than mere physical....this is the whole package.

nicely wrapped. Craig.

I am always impressed by your commitment to craftsmanship in your poetry. The way you use rhythm and rhyme is impeccable in this piece. My favorite section is your second stanza. Adding a health doth of alliteration to the aforementioned devices really makes that stanza pop.

Your piece was a stunning odyssey through a mystical world. I really liked the lines about the dragon, especially the first two lines of your final stanza. The folding of those wings creates such a feeling of safety and peace at the end of the poem. Beautifully crafted from start to finish.

sweet, sensual alliteration with a dreamy, majestic flow that sweeps the reader into flame's cocoon to feel the heated licks of pleasure.. YUM!.. sure melted me.. you had me a ravenous and decadence.. oh yes!.. those two words alone show promises of beautiful bliss.. savoring a little and greedily taking the rest... breathtaking imagery and stunning use of language add to the passion and magic.. love the contrasts sprinkled throughout.. writhing.. yet enfolded safe... can feel the raw hunger, passion's fury, the NEED, yet can feel the affection, the love, the appreciation, the desire to savor as well.. stunning as usual Craig.. love the rich descriptions in this one.. HOT!

Really cool choice of words here. I really love the language and the rhyming scheme. My favorite lime is "Embraced in decadence.". I enjoyed reading this. Keep striving and I hope you never lose your inspiration.
