I DREAM OF THE SEA

The sea is woven liquid white

foaming ripples in the night

blue crests of dabbled drops

moving, dancing ... never stops

soft salt spray on ashen birds

wind that speaks in silent words

a song I’ve heard since I was young

eons the world has had it sung

on stone and sand, waves caress

the frothy foam of ocean’s dress

and in my dreams I see her face

the one I long for in this place…

There is nothing more beautiful and mysterious than the ocean - the feeling of serenity, the healing ebb and flow of the tide - you have captured it's beauty well in your gorgeous writing. EE Cummings quote inspired a poem I wrote recently "Sea Dreams". (one of my favorite poets) Your poem is stunning. Going in my library!
