In whispered worlds of chance...

In whispered worlds of chance...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Will I find the Wonderland I saw in your first, sweet glance?

"

Do dreams die or merely sleep

in whispered worlds of chance?

And will I find the Wonderland

I saw in your first, sweet glance?

Is the world of substance all

one can ever hope to hold?

Are there not deeper worlds

with numberless gifts untold?

I feel you so much closer now

as fleeting glimpses wink and sigh.

And I reach for you in my dreams;

the touch of your soft skin’s lullaby.

I will search a thousand skies

in endless sunsets’ scarlet bliss.

Until I find your dreamish life

and am awakened by your kiss.

oh this was a very sweet poem. I feel like this would be more dedicated to a child than a spouse.

"Is the world of substance all

Are there not deeper worlds

with numberless gifts untold?"

It sounds as if you are talking about the gift of a child, or the love from a child.

Certain dreams are meant to come true, Craig!

As always your words really reach the heart. You have such a gentle, wistful way of poetising .. and the feelings you express always seem so utterly sincere.

'And I reach for you in my dreams; the touch of your soft skin's lullaby. ' - love that second line .. beautiful

Thats beautiful , I love the poet voice here, asking wondering , will he find it again ... we all miss our first time, miss the beauty of pure love , that left us with good memories for years ... Hope you found what you were looking for ... I believe you did :) ... Yossi

Upon reading this out loud, I noticed some places where the words are still pretty, and holding to their purpose, but feeling almost forced disrupting the rhythm of the poem. Other than that this is a very optimistic little piece.

As always you have captivated me once again. I love the light airy feeling in this one. There is a longing of something not yet found, yet a delight in the chase as well. Knowing that one day the promise will be there with you and for you. I could not pick a favorite part...I liked the whole thing!

Wow full of passion and love. I loved the depth, rhythm, rhyme and flow. I tried my hardest to pick a favorite stanza and could not do it.. the whole thing fills me with such a warmth.. even after reading it 4 times it had such an awe-inspiring feeling to it that grew on me. This one I think was much needed.. and I am saving to favorites.. over the last 8 months of reading your work.. you've become a muse to so many! This was just a supreme piece of work.. short but full of emotions and sentiments that touch the heart! Brilliantly done.

I really love this stanza here!
Us as humans must never stop dreaming, we are no one if we stop dreamming!
Dreams are apart of life. All humans have dreams some just pursue and
chase them down while others just dream to dream.
Rather a dream comes true there is always another dream after that one.
A very well written write here Craig! Most enjoyable read.
