The song I hear is soft and slow

And then like amber light it grows

 

Reflections of your voiced refrain

Repeating now of crimson stains

 

Forever in silvery symphony

With slides and slurs and harmony

 

And your song a deep rhythm now

Darkly brooding chants that bow

 

So the cadence brings the end

And the interlude in time begins

 

Your life is the most beautiful song

I cling to your music all day long

 

Let me listen to it all my days

And let your song lead my ways...

I've said before that traditional poetry (in the rhyming sense) rarely gets my emotions going, but this piece comes close. I just think that some of the lines march to a different beat than the overall piece. I tripped up on a few of the lines as they felt out of place a bit. Not necessarily wrong, just not the right words to express it.

I think this is a piece that could be fine-tuned and crafted into something much greater than it is now. But, as it sits, I feel as though this is only the foundation.

Oh my friend ,so wonderful your input here ..
taking her life and how she moves your life..
its like a song there is a hurried rhythm then it may slow
she plays all kinds of music and plays with all your life
she brings it to a higher pitch then let it fall down
she has a full control when she plays the flute and you have to follow
your feet have to go along with her pace
yes afraid you could lose her if you dont follow all through
i really loved the notion..she is both the music to my life
actually she is my life..i dance to all she does
