Born of darkness...

Born of darkness...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

For those who find themselves in darkness…

"

DAY  is born of darkness

When a tranquil light begins

It suffocates the stillness

And scrapes away the skin

Of blinding insecurity

And screaming fear within...

SPRING  is born of winter

When fire burns the frost

It mutilates the muted greys

Rips wide the meadows crossed

With bursting shades of color

And life that once lay lost...

HOPE  is born of sorrow

When illumination cries

It strangulates the blindness

And with it all dread dies

For surviving pain and trouble

Gives wings so now one flies...

you are blessed. You create another sacred poem!
before all else, the title is very perfect...
Your words are so heartfelt and heart-warming. You have a hallowed imagination. The second stanza is wonderful, dark, awe-inspiring and sad. "Hope is born of sorrow" This sentence makes me ponder...
I love all of it, I cherish every word and every line :à
Well-done. Keep writing. You are one of the best writers here (at least for me)

What a wonderful poem, from the glorious picture to the very last word you show such humanity and belief in what can be.

All three stanzas have their own beauty but SPRING is special,

'SPRING is born of winter
When fire burns the frost
It mutilates the muted greys
Rips wide the meadows crossed
With bursting shades of color
And life that once lay lost...'

Well, I'm still waiting on those wings to start sprouting, but...

What an absolutely beautiful, uplifting, and hopeful piece! It truly was a pleasure to read and I'm so glad I saw it and read it to start this very hectic day. I like the honesty and reality of both sides in this piece as well. Definitely agree with Rock and Roll Cowboy, a piece of artwork.

what a "phoenix" poem. uplifting and very true. Reminds me of a scripture" When I am weak, then you are strong." In our weakness, a higher power can bring about the most redemptive experience within us.... and in reflection we are awed how it worked to make us stronger in the end.

This poem has amazing flow, almost a perfect rhythm... The truth in this piece is incredible. I have to say this is my favorite of yours. The ending is almost uplifting after the other parts of the poem... All in all this is just a great piece.

SPRING is born of winter
When fire burns the frost

that part alone says it all... another piece of positive writing... the other day I had a tagline on facebook that said "Darkness can't last forever cause you can't stop the sun from rising." So I whole hearted agree with your written artwork.

My favorite is Hope,
Hope is a positive attitude. To wish for something with expectation of its fulfillment. Looking forward with confidence and/or expectation.
Hope is something that we all need. Hope gives us the courage to carry on.

This is beautifully written, well done again
Thanks
