I miss the color of your eyes

I miss the color of your eyes

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Pondering the stirring alone of me...

"

I stand mystic on this auburn shore

Pondering the stirring alone of me

Waves fluttering like birds all astir …

Salt from the sea tastes of your skin

Zephyrs like your warm lips on my face

And gentle whispers voiced in my ear …

How I miss the color of your eyes

Same color as birthing skies at dawn

They melt me magic miles over miles …

Now you flitter come in daydreams

One day I’ll see the sails of your ship

As clouds roll on like the azure waves …

Drifting us mystic on this auburn shore…

Enjoyed this very much has one of my favorite things very amply described that is the shore but also of a deeper thought stirring within your soul..Second stanza second line was so real that I could feel the warm breeze upon my face reminding me of a day at the beach..I am so glad that I chose this one to read today...Thanks for reading my very short work about the wedding band..That was done from a picture also..It was a picture of a wedding band on the "Bible"..Sunflower

oh.my.god! This was so dramatic, so poetic! SO BEAUTIFUL! the description alone was enough to send the reader to a place only they can explain, but the words were very, very beautiful! It had a dremay sort of feeling to it, and i reread it about three or four times, and even still i can not help but look again; it has that power on the reader! thanks for sharing

PS- i don't know where you get them, but you always have the perfect picture to go along with the poem. Maybe you look at a picture and the poem just sort of develops in your mind? Whatever reason, both always go PERFECTLY together!

There are no words to describe the beauty of this work. So picturesque, so descriptive, so professional. I wish could write like this, and do some justice to the beauty of a woman.

A wonderful write filled with beauty. It's serene and lulling and a bit sad. I like this.
