DORMANT IN DAY

Dormant in day

cold,
stagnant air clenching

and you standing

plastic
picture-frame smile

while parasites feed

on barren limbs

desolate apparitions

hallucinations

discarded tendrils

stems
and strands

bleak barriers

dormant
dalliance
dawdling

only sighing, sleeping

hidden roots
creeping

quiescent
embrace
when winter fades

season’s dance begins

come… call…cry…

for spring soon awakens…

Oh how beautiful is this! You use words in a mythical way, ' .. dawdling ~ Only sighing, sleeping ~ Hidden roots ~ creeping ..' Your words really are like small sleepy creepy creatures, those 'parasites' and all, hidden within the earth, waiting, ready to peep into the world to say we are alive, we are with spring's awakening.
