SHE IS A BOOK

SHE IS A BOOK

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

And I love to read her pages...

"

She is a breathing book

each night I touch her pages

delicately turn to find

her heart in letters

written by her hand…

Scent of vanilla

soft and sensuous

unveiling another thought

another smiling memory

another intimate piece of her…

And I read with such abandon

across her pages

my fingers trailing

her soft paper skin…

In her sighs

she speaks of

stories and sonnets

history and fantasy

blue skies and silvery silks…

I hear her voice

in the pages

wanting to know her

every line

every word

every letter…

Now I take her into me

share my book with her

until we know

can read each glance

each whisper

each touch…

She is a book

and I love to read her pages…

Poetical Prowess!!! This was fantastic! From the subtle flow to the image at the beginning to set the mood of the piece....you crafted an intelligently phrased piece. The type so delicately thought of that i cannot help but be enthralled in the book (pun intended) :)

This is great work! A nice start to my day:)

I appreciate your kindness deeply, Hari. Thank you!
It's really wonderful when you did dedicate such a lovely piece to the book itself. It shows how you enjoy reading the book with all of your heart and finally preach peace through it which is just as soft as silk... wow!!! amazing words used for description of each letter, word and sentence of the book. 'She in the book seems so much great instead of only the book..' Amazing... very good piece..

I like this piece from the moment i saw it displayed in the squares at the bottom of my profile page. "She" The book has a name. She is alive with words, She is structured,She can take you places you never dreamed you would go. She is a book. She has essence as each night you take her in and smell those sweet smells of vanilla. She is fragile as you treat her pages with the delicate nature that they deserve as you fingers trace a trail across her soft skin. She is honest in her words as she shares another piece with you but it is another intimate piece a memory that leaves you smiling as you two worlds collide in a single moment. She sighs and speaks to you in visions of summer days and soft silks a delicate image created by delicate hands. You want to read her every word take her in to you and let her rest a while in your thoughts. Until the next time..... and there will be a next time

A brilliantly crafted piece of work, full of all the things that make books more than ink on pages. very well done. I tip my hat to you sir .....

I think I read his differently than the other reviewers, perhaps differently than you intended? What I felt happening was a love of old, immortalized in words, bound and as enduring as ink and parchment. Each time the words are read, the lovers breathe again, life and love renewed or even reborn.
In that way, it transcends the love story and becomes a universalsynthesis of two lovers, two hearts.
Anyway, it is quite beautiful.

This is one of the most beautiful poems that I've ever read... I love books and I know people cherish books, sometimes paralleled to how they cherish people. The language and imagery that you utilized is awesome!

This is evocative with good imagery. Good job!!! I suggest instead of vanilla, say "fairies of dust," but it was good. Please subscribe to me.
