Dream a little

Dream a little

A Poem by Brian Custer

Dream a little
Brian Custer

All the dreams;
on so many nights,
everything taking place
in the corner of my mind
there always seems to be
a constant so dear to me
that makes me laugh and cry
(but always smile)

This constant voice I hear;
so sure
the unmistakable face
so beautiful and pure
So carefree and strong
(she is to me)
Patiently waiting
for her eyes to look
the connection;
powerfully inviting more

We walk our walks forward
to make the deal
We ask ourselves the same
(Is this for real?)
Closer now
than no time before
Embracing, our lips;
begging for more
Our bodies;
entangled and thrusting
(this can’t be real)
