No Cents

No Cents

A Poem by Brian Custer

 No cents

Brian Custer

And when I saw you

 the first time

 standing in line

 you blew my mind,

And then I saw you

the next time

you went inside

now I stand in line,

All I want to do

 is go up to you

in front of you

and just say hi.

Cause,

You’re the kind of girl

I want more,

than;

those other w****s,

we should ignore.

And,

You’re the kind of girl

I want more,

I couldn't pretend

more,

Let me open

up my door

But then I saw you

a different time

oh, the worst time

just standing by,

Standing by there

with your man

that lucky man

next to his side,

So I just start walking

outside,

passing you           (why)

 couldn't I say goodbye.

Cause,

you’re the kind of girl

I want more,

than

those other w****s,

we should ignore.

And,

you’re the kind of girl

I want more,

I couldn't pretend

more,

Let me open

up my door

But,

you’re the kind of girl

I wish for,

and want more,

just can't afford

It's got a nice lyrical feel, and I could tell immediately that it was meant for music. It's kind of funny, kind of sad. Very honest.

I tend to write easy chord plucking lyrics...at least try to ;)
