Blaise

Blaise

A Poem by Brian Custer

My apologies

to you;  who reads?

for me; who exudes?

this piss on you;

attitude

Forgive me,

for being vague,

I'm not trying

to understate

I want                   (someone)

to taste; this

bitterness,          on my lips;

this smell,           in my nose

First, most importantly,

you must not hate;

me;        I could care less,

for man                (in general )

this equates.

Too many carry chips

upon their shoulders

of prejudice; and,

most cannot focus

the importance of cognizance

Closed shut, eyes blind

everything except;

their standard norm,

it’s just the fear,              perhaps,

someone new

could be born

Transcendence could arrive

if they would just

open their minds,

decadence and turpitude;

the ones who beguile

My frustration comes

from my aspiration         (to inspire)

harsh words opined

too many deaf ears,

unheard

Fruitions afforded;

                having been denied,

haphazardly caused

from writing this poem

Seemingly though, one

may prevail

understanding my banter

epiphanies come

from no one                       (demand)

So, please,          take no offense

for my deciduous rants,

forgivingly;         forgotten

by the time you finish

leaving me one favor

from you,            I implore,

THINK,

QUESTION,

just don't ignore!
