A Friend Stolen

A Friend Stolen

A Poem by Jeddie

A Friend Stolen

Your pain is mutual,

Inflicted upon others.

Individuals that care for you,

Suffer the distress in addition.

You dominate her!

When she is my companion also.

How do you define pain?

Does the ache I feel not matter?

I morn for the loss,

Of a friend, stolen,

No longer an individual,

But a person controlled!

You dictate her life,

But she has no choice!

She will not hurt you,

So why to I feel so betrayed?

Cheated by you....

Resentful towards your happiness,

Morning, grieving,anguished

Over times now lost!

It's interesting how the tone changes towards the end, from anger to envy to regret.
Very flexible. Wonderful.

This reminds me of my best friend. She had her friend 'stolen', but they made up. x]
