Taking a stand

Taking a stand

A Poem by Sheena
"

Stand for what you believe in before it's too late...

"

If you could only see the world
Through these weeping eyes,
It would show what we have become.
The horror
The fear
These eyes are mine
Behold what we have done.

Children weep for those they seek,
The friends that die so soon.
The disease passes through
None can help you
For one person standing alone.

The tears you cry
And anger you fight
Have all come too late.
Not enough to feed
We are an arrogant breed
Where the wicked wish to test our faith.

No more war
No more hate
No more racism
To which we all relate.
We are human
All the same kind,
Same nose
Same eyes
Same thoughts on the mind.

This is our world
Take it back now
Rule your own lives
And be generous without doubt.

We who tremble
Against the might that's feared,
Stand now
Stand proud
Stand now to be heard.
