A poem for God.

Shepherd and  Sheep

Sheep

Race around the terrain

A blur of white fluff

 

A shepherd

Roams the pasture

His eyes glued to the sheep

 

A sheep

Strays away

From all he’s ever known

 

The shepherd

Brings him back

Into the light

 

My eyes squint

What have I just witnessed?

Was it him?

 

The shepherd is no longer,

dressed in shabby robes

But ones of pure white

 

The Lord is my shepherd

I shall not fear

You’re with me

He maketh me lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in paths of rightepusness for his names sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Lovely poem! Psalm 23 just oozes out of this as does the passage about jesus being the good shepherd with the parable of the lost sheep, Awesome stuff! This poem has lifted my heart Chelsea! o/
