Shepherd and Sheep

Shepherd and  Sheep

Sheep

Race around the terrain

A blur of white fluff

A shepherd

Roams the pasture

His eyes glued to the sheep

A sheep

Strays away

From all he’s ever known

The shepherd

Brings him back

Into the light

My eyes squint

What have I just witnessed?

Was it him?

The shepherd is no longer,

dressed in shabby robes

But ones of pure white

The Lord is my shepherd

I shall not fear

You’re with me

a favorite of mine so lovely and peaceful. psalms27:1, 6
The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.

He maketh me lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in paths of rightepusness for his names sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

A beautiful and powerful poem. I like how you use the sheep and the shepherd in the poem. A very good ending to a poem of hope and love. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
