Hate is a strong word

I am tired of the sugar-coating of the world

'I have never hated someone'

Congratulations

You haven't felt hate

'My heart isn't capable of hate'

I know

I have felt it

I used to be that way

Naive to the worse things in the world

It was a privilege

To not have felt it

Sometimes I wish I never had 

But alas,

You do not choose hate

It chooses you

To know hate is to be hated.
Then you realize the weight of it. The poet speaks as if ignorant of the subject matter, congratulating those who have not felt hate.
But in later exposition, you see how she' acquainted with what she wants to say.

Hate is the result of too many disappointments, betrayals or even egocentric intrusions on the part of others.

Your view that hate chooses you tells me you were exposed to too many opportunities for it to rear its head to you.

Quotations need " instead of ' as in "I have never hated anyone."

The first three stanzas were okay but the fourth stating that hate is a strong word felt like you'd already made your point, no need to go on.

Ah, hate is such a leech in life, when it grabs you, it tends not to let go. Hate and I have seen each other on occasions trying to keep our infidelity low key, but it gets out there at times, its actually my fault ;)
