Carry Me Away

Carry Me Away

Banging of the drums,

The cry of the electric guitar,

Breathes life into my fire tonight.

These electric currents seize through

My body constantly.

I get lost in the music,

Lost in your eyes,

As you make my hips rise.

Yes, I love this poem. Music can make you do all sort of things. Like sing, dance, sometimes it can give you inspiration to write something. This was a nice write. Thanks for sharing. :)

Music gets right down deep into us, very primitive just like a lot of other things that are part of nature that has a rhythm like the heart beat as well.

This poem is great because it focuses on something about music that we miss. It makes me think of stuff. I've favourited it.

I agree with Moonflower, music is soothing for the soul, and music that rocks the soul is just as good.

Nice juxtaposition of "banging, cry, breathes, body" with music. Sex and music are so closely related anyway:)
