The Start of Football Season Tight-ends, Quarterbacks, The rushing Of receivers, Football is Here again Like the blazing Autumn fever Of the bright Indian summer sun. We gather at the bars, Travel very far or go Through a lot of pain Just to see our team's Football games. We've lowered Our tailgates And prepped Our charcoal grills For our manna from Football heaven. Braced with Heaping mounds Of steaming hot dogs And chilled kegs of beer, We are here to cheer For our team for the Rest of the football year. At the top of our heads, On our backs And over our chests We don our teams Bright colors proudly. Some of us even Decorate our faces With designs made With special tribal paint Just for our spirit To be displayed Very clearly. We are mighty fans Who dearly make Wild gestures and Cheer very loudly. We'll wage our bets Before and wait to see What fate will render On those grassy fields. For it's on those fields Where bone meets bone And flesh meets flesh Mighty wills can Crack under pressure. All kinds of tricks And spins can bring fame To any teenage star athlete. As the temperatures Continue to lower and Our tree's leaves start to toss And tumble to the ground. May this fall's best games Begin with the mighty thunder And all of the magical wonder Of last year's legendary Football end. May the games begin!
