Sculpture

Sculpture

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about women.

"

Sculpture

Rounded, molded

Sculpted by God’s hands

Not made for the benefit

Of the hands of every man

You can look

But touches

Are not allowed

For I’m a treasure gem

Not a bruised piece of fruit

I loved that because of the way you intertwined SO MANY different themes and they're all so true! You really do have the ability to read mingds. *claps*.

There are a lot of great themes in this poem.
Its a shame that this kind of respect ever has
to be demanded.

Your words here are so empowering...and beautiful written. I love the message behind it...& love the idea of a women being a sculpture made by 'God's hands, not made for the benefit, of the hands of every man'....brilliantly penned!

This was fun! I liked the picture that you used for the poem. It certainly adds to the power of the ink and reinforces, not only the hands off concept, but the feeling women feel when men are to oppressing.

Great Ink!
