The Sea

The Sea

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A wavy poem.

"

The Sea

Oceans of water

Flow over me

Royal blue as far

As the eye can see

Treasures

Tucked beneath

Jewels for

Curing the body

Food to

Fill the belly

Salt to give

 Life season

Cool liquid to

Restore a sense of peace

Joy that brings people

Together to enjoy the sea

Take me back to the sea,

To my humanity

The sea gives

Me back my sanity

Unending are the waves

Of the tumultuous sea

I do so love the ebb and flow~ our mother sea runs in our bodies~she washes our rejoicing skin ~she provides so many needs~ the joy in this poem is sheer delight to witness~
