Love Calls

Reaching out to my

Loved ones over the phone

 

Touched in my heart zone by

Hearing familiar loving voices

Over the waves of air

 

Light smiley tones

That show you care

 

Familiar sounds that make me

Feel like I’m not so alone

 

Memories and

Giggles we share

 

Frozen snapshots that I’ll

Remember later on when

On a crowded subway and

Out the window I stare

 

Sounds of love

In my ears blare

Subtle sighs that show

You care

 

Author's Note

This is the holidays, the time when we are calling our friends and family more frequently than usual. I've been on the phone a lot lately with loved ones. This is about how those familiar voices affect use during and after the conversations are over. Nothing better than hearing a familiar voice when you are alone or haven't heard from them again. Thank goodness for technology.
