Forever Good-bye

Forever Good-bye

A Poem by Marie Harrison

A departing poem

Forever Good-bye

He held me closely

In the gentle rain

His blue eyes poured

Love into mine

His warm sweet lips

Kissed me so softly

As the spring rain trickled down

Our passion rose

Without words but a warm embrace,

He said good-bye before I boarded the train

We knew our lips

Would never touch again

Parting is such sweet sorrow... a beautifully melancholy poem.

Romantic and tragic.
