Pelagic Pleas

Pelagic Pleas

Riptides force me down

Gasping for breath of flesh gain

Barnacles taunt me

Shark fins writhe and pitch

Mermaids of the sea circle

King Neptune redeems

a two for one, excellent!

Hate it when those barnacles are mean ;)

Haikus are so much fun to write. And I have always found that haikus help make my writing much more concise. It helps me find meaning without have to use a bunch of useless, big words. Fun pieces here and way to broaden your imagination into this realm.

Nice fantasy poem, Marie. You certainly have a way with words and write just what you feel at any given time, whether fun and fanatical or flirty and sensual.

This is very enjoyable. Love the mermaid tale in the poem, made me think of The Little Mermaid.
