The Kiss

The Kiss

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A Carpe Diem Poem

"

The Kiss

Grab life by the throat and choke

To get the girl, cross the moat, you bloke

Grab her by the face and kiss her tender lips

For tomorrow she might have a neck brace and broken hips

Chase the day, seize the night, get things right!

This poem feels sweet to me, not cheesy at all, but like dark honey. Lyrical, gorgeous.
