A Story That's Ending and Just Beginning

A Story That's Ending and Just Beginning

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

Tell the world your story and she'll show you her treasures.

"
In my bed I lie
The glowing electric red eyes
Silhouette the outline of your being
You're hear to sing death's lullaby

I haven't done the things I planned
So many regrets sinking in the sand

Will you take me above the marshmellow clouds
To see the little blue marble suspended in space
Yell goodbye to the world
One last hoorah to the human race

I imagine the other side is waiting on us

No more wishing
For things I should of done

Wishing on a wish
Has left me alone

I should have told her
My story
That just ended.

The ephemeral cycle is now at its end,
My deeds I take as my only wealth,
The final breaths and I ruminate yet,
Did I play my part written in book of destiny?
Or, I shaped my path forsaking the whimsical truths of divine decree?

Thought provoking piece written with subtlety and delicately. You have again managed to create a wonder that is heartfelt and profound.
