L.A. Sunset

L.A. Sunset

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

She's beyond beautiful...

"
L.A. Sunset

I French kissed the gypsy morning sun
Under sheets of heavy breaths
Rode my lips over peaks of pure pleasure
Down valleys into her depths

Warm-tingling rays touched my vampire-pale skin
As I soared through her undulating skies
A gravitational force attracted my thoughts
Then I heard her energetic cries

Her peak occured at High Noon
I watched with eyes of amazement
And I fell in love with her that day
When she sang her dynamic arrangement

Her body began to grow weary
Trying to keep up with my feverish pace
So she began her magical decent
Down into her hiding place

The day came to a close
And that was the end of her and I
As I watched her set fire to
The horizon of the red-velvet L.A. sky.

Loved these stanza's lines here.

Her body began to grow weary
Trying to keep up with my feverish pace
So she began her magical decent
Down into her hiding place

The day came to a close
And that was the end of her and I
As I watched her set fire to
The horizon of the red-velvet L.A. sky.

Great work with this one. I think our daily lives can be linked in so many ways to nature. I love the themes of love, nature and the fleeting nature of life.

Thanks so much Ashley! So glad you like it. :)
I live about 30 miles south of LA - I don't think' I'll ever look at a sunset the same way...

Love the imagery here and the sensual feel of the entire poem. Wonderful writing my friend

Thank you sweet Julie! It means so much as always. :) LA girls and sunsets go hand in hand. ;)
making love with nature...and she with us...

it's so full of passion when we embrace a day...uncontrollable --

i like the allusions to love making mixed with the enjoyment of the cycle of a day.

About
To sum me up is pretty easy. I love writing because it's therapy for my wayward soul. Although, I am by no means any good at it, I still put myself out there. I use to write when I was younger but gav.. more..
