SECOND FIRST

SECOND FIRST

A Poem by pristine

With the silver moon weeping on the darkest of night

Into its empty and forlorn light I felt

A stung of pain pierced my being

Alone, I cursed the chilling thin air

I should have known, I should have known

Back in the day I should have known

A time to perish would certainly come

Life worn out to live cut short

Scent of Irises I want only to smell

Beauty of reds and violets I need to lay eyes upon

Soft and smooth hands for the last time I could not touch

Melody, melody I will not hear for the years to come

Together with dirt I will rot away

The end goes back at the beginning

A second first I will certainly pray

To love and be lost, be lost and to love again

I lay with the regrets of yesterdays

Unrequited life, unrequited love

Please be still until my soul returns

In another lifetime, to the ends of infinity
