Living on

Living on

A Poem by Clare Ashbury

Understand...

I smile because I want to

I've forgotten you

You cross my mind only for moments

And then blow from my thoughts

Don't Deny...

That you are the beautiful liar

A woman with a heart of pure tar

A soul of spider webs and fire

You were my biggest mistake

Oh beautiful...

Yes you are my gorgeous mistake

I don't deny I don't sometimes miss you

I hate your empty promises

I wish I had never smiled for you

Hate....

I do not give you that

You aren't worth the energy

Denied to you

Nothing more then forgotten love

Living.....

Is what I am doing right now

Day after day, slowly and happy just how I like it

Through this mess of my heart

As I mend my heart and feeling

Well my darling

You Failed to break me completely

No more questions roam though my mind

No words are needed to say to you

You are a memory

That is slowly fading away.

Freedom

I'm smiling....without you.
