A Chapter by Jordan Williams

i'm concerned that the last villagers of my conscience have finally fled

and my life's work will culminate, personified by a button shining red

i'm not saying i'm scheming

but in daylight i'm dreaming

of a trophy that is blood-splattered palms

making crystal exasperations

with fistfuls of lacerations

hurled like whirls from some shattered bombs

my villainous side

is so thrilled to find

that i cannot still decide

between debates on my shoulders

both their arguments are strong

both paths arduous and long

still it's not hard to do what's wrong

the devils are much bolder

crowded mass

loud and crass

herded hermit

observe the skirmish

i'm concerned that daydreams are disfigured now into spite nightmares

wonders of damages dealt if i push this grandmother down a flight of stairs

my septic ethics blurred

hectic messes should not occur

but to my zombie personality

quick to throw complaints and judgements

sickly showing stains and grudges

if only my mean heart were malice-free

my heroic side

is nearly sick to find

that fear tricks me into lines

between two minds to believe

my tarnished heart of gold

is hardened, charred like coal

a scarred, too far gone soul

that angels cannot retrieve

rabble, ramble on

scrabble, scramble on

mega microscope

begged to might have hope
