logic, crazy fools

logic, crazy fools

A Poem by jamie mae

Previous Version
This is a previous version of logic, crazy fools.

substantiality weighs heavily upon the soul,
as we gather in the corners, dripping ugliness and secrecy.
holding on to our pathetic affirmations,
that, "this will all, one day, be worth it."
forget how the words they spoke came out cracked,
uttered with love and terror at our broken minds.
"you are sick," they scream.
"you are broken," they scream.
"but we are on our way to beautiful," we cry.
how can one measure beauty, in full intensity and meaning?
you see, with pounds, of course.
are they mad in not seeing that simple logic?

So this somehow reminded me of this terrible gym teacher I had in school...lol. Loved it, great expression of the media's twisted view on beauty. Keep writing! :)
