Hanging

Hanging

A Poem by Constance-Outspoken
"

Creative poetry group. Words given: flimsy, acrid, enshrine, patient, desirous

"
Balancing to dance upon a wire
too flimsy to hang clothes upon
she gives us one last smile

Acrid is the flavor of her kiss
yet we've clung, mad, desirous
to musings she daren't speak

Stormy sky surrounds her
hungering to swallow whole
what many hope to enshrine

The line snaps....
Truth hangs in midair,
penitent and patient
as we silently fall away

i loved it. it was very discriptive yet vague. it captures and gives you something to think about.

I really thought that this was a good poem. I really could feel the emotions in it. It fit beautifully. Though nothing ever comes good out of being hanged.....I knew someone that hung them self. I met him when I was a freshman. He was a senior....but he threw his life away. Thanks for sharing. :)

This has such an ethereal feel; I really felt swept away reading it. I have to say the first two lines are poignant, but somewhat clumsy in their construction. Other than that, stellar work!

Your writing has such a stunning, visual feel.. Life.. hanging by a thread.. There is a deep beauty here. You're a wonderful writer..

You did a great job using the words for this week in creative poetry. I love the subject you wrote this poem on.

Fantastic use of these words -- the poem having a tenuous and fragile quality that echoes the theme beautifully. Favorite lines "The line snaps .../Truth hangs in midair." Just lovely Constance. Well done!
