Snow and Bridges

Snow and Bridges

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

 I look around

I dive inside

I write like it’s a secret

For how many skeletons can my closet actually fit?

I look at love as a resource

I feel her run her hands down my scars

Sometimes they shoot me with pain

Maybe to remember

Maybe to surrender

I am smiling inside at the steel mill stacks

I am looking across a blue collar bridge

My wrist dipping in the water

My eyes too dry to keep open

Hectic cars and birds

The sound of the river is deafening

The voices are louder then ever

They are grabbing my shoulders

I scream all the way down

It’s still not quiet
