FAITH

FAITH

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

 Shift left

Shift forward

Can’t stand not being able to lie still

Lavender ghosts

Lingering toasts

Everyone realizes the shadows

She hides her skeleton in a closet made of crystal

I breathe in the knowledge of how far I could go

Sleepless night let me go

Sleep my forever away

Dance in my dreams and make me forget today

I am without her

She is resolute as can be

Bullshit lies in her rational

“faith” tattooed on her neck

Laughing inside at what little “faith” this world has allowed us to have

Feverish outburst of thought

Cold sweats mix with love

Shivering at the inevitability of her departure

Breaking my nails attempting to scratch my way over her wall

Blood streak this wall

I take a better look

Is this my wall?

Is this hers?

It’s too dark to see.

I open my eyes

One step forward is an abyss to ease the pain

I leave this world to start all over again
