Je suis

Je suis

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

 Never let go of me

My hands shake

My mind aches

My eyes smile for her

My eyes smile for them

I died for everyone

I kiss intangible lips

I open my smiling eyes

All I see and feel are my tears and my breath in this cold air

I put together a plan in my head

My heart tears, she never saw that I bleed

I left a poem in the dirt where I planted the tree for my grandfather

I left  three words in the air in our cardboard box

Clearing my head in 2009

Two years in a row

6 feet deep

6’3 tall

I light my thoughts on fire

I light my body on fire

I light my heart up for the first time in years

Fresh air

Deep breaths

Strange depths

All that’s left is saying goodbye

I leave everyone alone

Drift till I can find a place to call home

I am without

But this could be beautiful

I let the rain hit my face like a metronome

I let the snow kiss my tongue

I allow the heat to perspire out my demons

I am a visitor

I am the only thing I need

I am now
