Prescription

Prescription

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

I ran out of klonopin and ate my withdrawls away

With tylonol and matzo balls

Found some vicodin it helped

Finally saw the doc got back on track

The leg aches went away

The cold sweats dryed up

I am addicted to a drug that makes me feel less panicky but I still don’t enjoy s**t

I missed being excited for simple things

I couldn’t believe I couldn’t be content at the most lucky of moments

As soon as I tried to bounce back

The wave crashed

She left

It was like running towards the most beautiful picture

And by the time I got their the ink had run out

I saw a girl with her back to me

A boy on his knees sobbing

She had a ring he had never seen on her left hand

It looked so beautiful

I lifted her skirt one last time

Smiling at her as she laughed to herself

Thinking about our time
