2-in-1

2-in-1

A Poem by cquig

We were creators once, do you remember that?

So beautiful and full of hope

We became one and swore to see it through

          Innocent and yet so wise

Somewhere along the path I was left as the creator and you the destroyer

          Sweetly soulful slumbering

Devastated lives lie before and behiind you, and yet you smile because you've done no wrong

Crushed and hanging on, you're my little survivor

You will weep only for yourself in the end

Homerun. Your life in your eyes and glory in my heart

I like this concept two poems in one. To me it seemed that you were speaking to your child and his father. I could be wrong, but that is how it (they) read to me. The final line threw me a little. Did you maybe forget a t? Oh and love the pic of Jack - or is this of Jill - looking out at the river.
