Love-soaked Bandages

we are blind

holding love-soaked

bandages 

across our eyes

I become the drawbridge

I part, like the sea

a ship rolling in

you cover me 

with saltwater

we see and feel 

with hands that 

have pressed themselves 

against the big sky
wet and open
