Keeping Secrets

Keeping Secrets

A Poem by Invisible Ink
"

help with a title?

"

Pry me open like a clam

If you wish to see

the darker side inside me

for I can not help

but to close tight

when the fisherman

casts his net wide

Dig me up like a root

If you want to find

where my past has spread

for I burrow deep

into the ground

when the logger

tries to cut me down

These are alluring and yet aloof images at the same time. Nice juxtaposition of open vulnerability and challenging enigma. I enjoyed the write very much.
