I Can Not Win This Fight

I Can Not Win This Fight

A Poem by Invisible Ink

I try with all of my might
find the silence inside
ready my spirit and still my mind
but I can not, I can not win this fight
no matter how many times I decide
how many times I live and die
in this brutal roller coaster
where I am knocked down
and the only sound is
my breath catching
from that final pound
so I can not win this fight

Put up my fists and
take my stance, in memory
my last romance, arms and legs
intertwined, in that final embrace
with why and because interlaced
the debt is never paid
and I am always way laid
in a place where my history,
my present and past collide
but I can not win that fight

In tangled mess I reside
hands raised in defense
my pride is bruised
my heart is pummeled
and so you find me
anchored to defeat and I ride
that bloody boat to where it rests
and I can not win, I can not win this fight
inside

Not like your other pieces, but still as good. Your Imagery has perfection, but who am I to say, you're older than me. So I'm not a great as critic as anyone else. Bravo again.
