Dead Disco

Dead Disco

A Story by Courtney Elizabeth

Lets put a dime in the jukebox and listen to the melody that escapes its mechanical insides and hard wooden core.
Open up your ears and listen to the music before you close the door.
Listen to the lyrics and feel inside the beat.
Dance to the rhythm that had you tapping your feet.
Forget the world around you and act if no ones there.
Dance like you are alone with no cares in the world.
Soon enough your day will be gone and you'll be dancing upon the dead.
While broken bones and protruding hips scrape the rustled floor.
Rotten corpses are dragged to a grave from the dance floor.
Piled into a pit of everlasting fate.
Death had captured them when the melody did not escape.
The rumors true, to dance you can exile fate.
You can forget about the Grim Reaper, the mastermind of death.
To be teased by him is one of the greatest tests.
He pleads for you to find your hope.
A way to make it through.
But no matter what, when that time is up he claims your body: its due.
So dance to the dead disco for your end is coming near.
Its when the music just dies and you cant control your fears.
Your body takes full control of you when the pain is drawing near.
It consumes the faith right out of you.
And leaves you bleeding out the eyes.
Jaw popped and spine snapped dying on the floor.
Death will come for you yet once more.
Its all that's left and its knocking on your door.
So when the dirty deed is done the others run to the scene of this heinous crime.
With mops chalked with bloodstains and tarnished pieces of flesh.
To conceal the epidemic of this murderous mess.

very interesting piece you've written, it started out sort of fun in a way because of the dancing to avoid fate then turned deadly once the song ends and fate has caught up to you. It's strange, unlike anything I've read here before.

**Might i ask why the font is so very small?

You made me speechless, I totally was lost in your words your verses...I always thought words can create a magically spell...today you made me believed that for sure...epic!

Started out like a fun little tune and quickly turned macabre. You've got some quietly powerful sentiment and deftly crafted lines in here though....I hope you'll share some more....
