Stormy Nights

Stormy Nights

A Poem by Creativegurl93
"

This poem is about two best friends crossing the lines between friends and lovers.

"

A line has been drawn

but we dance along it

We know the rules to this game

But we follow our own

To embrace this

is to welcome a storm

Electricity can be felt

with lightning flashing in the sky

Thunder booming over head

A fire has been ignited

The storm lets loose

with nothing left in its path

The sun rises once again

the damage has been done

We walk into the daylight

on our separate ways

Until another stormy night

calls us out to play

I like the two best friends story behind it. That they pull ultimately get pulled apart or have to shove it out their minds.

I like this, isn't it a shame that darkness pulls people together. The light is for those self-centered among us, basking in their own sunshine.
