"Blue"

"Blue"

A Poem by Cryingkate

The Color  today
will not be blue
Just too much, I say
Of living to do

Soon this ole' body
With no more to do
Be lifeless, by Goddy
With lips,cold and Blue

These are true words for all of us delivered in a lovely way. I really like that the raw strength that's in the first four lines is further strengthened by the honest realization and acceptance of the last four lines. That really works well here, I have to say! :)

Perfect... Just perfect. That was masterful, my friend. Your language is beyond captivating. I'll say it again, I missed your writing and this was just a beautiful encounter in every way.

Connie Dear,
All too soon our lips will be "cold and blue", but for now I'll settle for pink and warm.

I enjoy the contrast of your verses … wonderfully expressed human side that can quickly swing from cloudy to clear, dark to bright, loneliness to love!

Speaking of love, I love how your mind and heart work together, creating and sharing such little poetic wonders as this one … hugs 'n warmest blessings, Fine Lady-Poet! ⁓ Richard

Reader feeling sad and blue reading a poem small sad and very blue hoping it not about you. No time for you to be Cold Lonely and Blue.

I do not know how exactly to classify this- positively negative or negatively positive? I think the end should be sensible if not happy always. A good write up:)

I like this and I agree with "too much living to do" :) we can welcome blue when all the colour is gone!

Live each day to the fullest, my friend. Blue should be the color for the ocean and the sky, not your soul. No, you will not be lifeless anytime soon. Too much living left to do! Lydi**
