He was like the Sun ; brilliant and self-sustaining.
I was like the Moon ; a lonely halo glimmering off his light, orbiting his shape for warmth.

I realised in that moment, that I could not undo what I had just done.

It was too late.

Four years too late… and with each day, whether I had noticed it or not, I had slid deeper in than the day before.

I lay on his bed, felt the heat of his skin merging into mine, and wondered how I would go through life unscathed, if he were to ever leave.

He has made his mark on me, and I would never be the same again. I’ve come to terms with that. Forever my heart would search for only his.

This is too short I would read a whole book full of just this it's beautiful and you summed up so much emotion in such a brief writing, I need more of this style in my life.
