Ah O Ah

Ah O Ah

A Poem by JacobMarloe

birds and bumble bees
tell me
why is the rain cold in the summer
its just as wet as winters first snow
cold and harsh when the wind does blow
dried to powder and flakes of crystal
snuffed out like a breakdown of light
warmth smothers my senses let the bite of frost hit me
sparkling little wings do fly for you my visitors
shaken trees fruit is rightly bruised
a tasty treat I cannot forgo
resting in the branches outstretched finger to toe
I am nestled in the cocoon as I grow
sweet kindling of senses I once had
rip through my thick walls release me
float to my dreams I am free
