Clear

Clear

A Poem by Phillip Francis

Comfortable chair, empty room

Chaotic silence, voices loom

Settle in, loosen up

Embrace distress, swig a cup

The tide is  turning, the world is touched

Our souls are spinning, the ground we clutched

Darkness falls, disguising light

Steady the day, we've come to fight

Awaken imagination,  cleanse perception

Sanity is clear, enjoy the connection

Our hearts on parade, Marching exposed

The doors forever open, never to be closed

Indulge in clear consciousness

Exploit the new confidence

End rhymes are tricky but these are stronger than most, partly because the conversational tone lends a lyrical spoken story feel.
