Fleeing Monotony

Fleeing Monotony

A Poem by Phillip Francis

Cloaked in a mask,

roaming within a banal sensibility,

experimenting with interpretation.

Self inflicted conviction,

motivated by fear.

Sentence is a trite existence.

Welcome change.

Discard the disguise,

invent excitement,

free your imagination and cling to the quest.

Allow visions to lead.

Manufacture new boundaries.

Challenging social conventions will translate the definition of comfort.

Expand consciences by amplifying your inner voice.

Reserve judgment of others and indulge in the confidence in your actions.

An opportune moment to seize, not for the faint of heart.
