WAITING

WAITING

A Poem by dakarai

Without direction, I must remain lost.
Without protection, I must remain scared
That the Creator never even cared
That I needed a "DAD" to split the cost.
Like my fatherless mother, hope got tossed
Out the back door. My feelings were not spared,
Staring at a reality that dared
Not bare the load of the path that got crossed.
Advise said "STAY PUT," instead of baiting
The DEVINE, WHO can not find the trotter;
Words of advise that I end up hating.
Sometimes, I wonder if I should bother
Wondering why we must waste time waiting
For the GOD to define the WORD father.

I think it flows well, and rhymes really brilliantly too! You've done a really good job on this Dakarai. I love the message you give, and the emotion.

The emotion is nearly surreal.

I'm an Atheist. So, this really touches me somewhat.

I don't know how. It just does.
