Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by Dallisa <3

Emptiness is being replaced, as I'm learning to let go

I wish it were unnoticable, that my pain would never show

So its harder than I thought , but I'm learning how to deal

Still, the things that haunt my dreams, I wish that they weren't real

Why'd I hide it for so long, why'd I have to be so dumb?

Cause now it's hard to feel, it's as if my mind's gone numb

I'm grateful for the people  who surround me everyday

The ones who make me feel like it's gonna be okay

I wish I'd never been confronted by your harsh demands

But the chains around my soul have been cut by loving hands

Impressive use of rhyming. Your one of the few writers I like that rhyme. The majority of time it sounds cheesy but the combination of words you use and how you set it up makes it flow good. "But the chains around my soul have been cut by loving hands." Another inspirational ending =)

Are you a victim of an insufferable relationship where you feel chained to the person you don't love or is this just a dream a thought?
i liked your use of words which were so eloquently expressed in this masterpiece of poetry, i hate being a slave to time and have felt the way you do right now but being trapped in a loveless relation must be worse than being in a prison cell, i think i would ask when do i get parole.
