Stop and Slow Down

Stop and Slow Down

A Poem by Daniielle7

and this is not the end of the worn trail

cause we've all been down this road before

sands in my mouth makes in hard to inhale

and oceans from my lungs come ashore

salty tears, sweat, waters engulf your tone

im so tired down through the muscle to bone

i didnt know anyone could ever be this tired

this inspired, this admired, this wired

i wish you would just stop being there

This reminds me of years ago telling an ex to stop calling me and trying to be my friend after we broke up so I could move on. Even though I didn’t want to. Nice write

Twisty...more turns per line than anything I've seen til now. I like the randomness, centered around true emotions.

Interesting...
