Sitting in front of the computer, I resumed my job hunting.

*Click* * Click* *Click*

My mouse continued to make noises as I look all the possible opening for a job.

It's been a week since the declaration, the dreadful feeling is still present.

'You won't be able to graduate, you have failed on your project, I am sorry'
Those words kept floating at the back of my head as the teacher said it to me looking unconcerned as if he done it multiple times.

I began to stretch as my back started to complain.
I felt the soft leathery comfort as I lean on the chair, the screen is eerily dim with the lights turned off and the curtains covering the natural sunlight coming into my room.

Just how much time did I already spent finding a job albeit sitting on this chair and staring at the computer again?
I can't quite remember.... everything seems to pass without me even noticing.

Actually why Am I still looking for a job?
Didn't I already received a mail that's congratulating me that I am fit for the position?
I rummaged my head.

"Ah right, that mail is certainly odd and creepy"

I shook my head as I try to forget the contents and decided to get some food.

The room is untidy, with clothes scattering around and dust condensed on shaded places.
It won't surprise me if I am breathing dust instead of air but I am just too lazy to clean!

My mother have bugged me many times to clean my room but I don't think some dust collecting is that serious right?
The room is quite spacious too, with a lot of free movement thus it adds to the reason 'lazy to clean'.

I opened the door and went outside, since our house is small and cramped.
The kitchen, living room and dining room are located on the same room.
The only difference is that, the 3 in 1 space is clean compared to my huge room with dirt living in it.

I directed my attention to the fridge.
Silver, big, and filled with papers about daily cost, it can almost be compared to a book that you can read to past time.
Opening it came some water and fruits sitting inside.

"This will do..." I took out an apple and placed it on mouth

*Crunch*

The apple is ice cold and it can probably be used as a cooler if placed on water.
Without anything better to eat besides a block of ice, I contented my self with the lonely apple, I turned my eyes to the dining table.

"It's clean..."

No food and no dust, the pristine table is objectively better than my room.
My mom is too much of a clean freak and likes to clean everything she finds dirty, she even tried to clean my room one time and we got in an argument.
Whenever mom tries to clean, she automatically throws out stuff that doesn't look important, unfortunately, most of the things I have don't look important so If I let her clean my room it'll probably result in a clean and empty room ready to accept new tenants.

Now that I think about it, I suddenly got hungry again.

"Ah.. the apple made me even hungrier than satiating me..."

Taking an apple might keep the doctor away but it can invite hunger as well.
I decided to go out and buy some food.

My parents own a salon at the other side of the town as a result most of the food they bought are stored on the shop instead of our own home after all they spend most of the time on the shop working on some customer's hair and probably feeding them to maintain a good relationship.

The revelation of me not graduation have soured my relationship with them, no wonder that they're just feeding a single apple which is quite nutritious compared to what I am suppose to buy now.

Outside the street I walked to the nearest fast food joint.

It's populated with people talking and chatting with their friends.
There was never a single person standing out alone besides me of course.
Their faces are all plastered with smiles, just how happy are they are?

Are they mocking me?

Most of the subject that they're discussing is about their nearing graduation date, with all of them boasting about how proud their parents, the more annoyed and heated I feel, not on them but on myself.

"Good Afternoon Sir! what is your order for today?"

I didn't notice that I already approached the counter.

"Oh... um... I'll have an apple"

"I'm sorry?"

"Apple pie... I mean..."

Nice save!

"How many would you like?"

"One.."

"Okay! do you have any order besides one apple pie?"

"No... I'm good..."

"Okay! That will be 40 pesos!"

She smiled brightly at me and in turn i took out my wallet and paid for my order.
If I compared her to myself it'll probably be night and day, with my slump form and permanent frowning face, the customer might be even offended if I'm the one saying the words that she just uttered.

With a graceful act, she took my money and looked at me one more time.

"Umm.. Please go over the other side and wait for your order thank you!"

"Oh.."

I quickly moved to the side and then another customer began describing their order.

*Vibrate*

I felt a vibration from my pocket.
The cause was obviously the phone, and on the screen is another unfamiliar number.

I opened the mail.

Hello!
Our agent has arrived at your place, please try to be as honest as you can if he started to ask questions.
You can think of this as your final! final interview!

"What...."

Agent has arrived in your place?
That's way too fast, only an hour has passed when I received their other mail.

Is the company not bogus at all?

"Wait.... then I really need to give them some blood?!" I exclaimed, causing the customer and the counter personnel to look on my general direction.

"Sir here's your order"

A plastic bag is handed on to me.

"Ah wait-"

I quickly took it and started to jog back to home.

I immediately got home and heard some noise.

"A burglar?!" I thought but I quickly erased the thought, it's probably the agent.

The noise originated from my room, feeling a dread I slowly approached but I noticed something wrong.

If the agent arrived, aren't they suppose to wait outside?

Common sense started to course through me, I quickly took a knife and prepared myself to confront the burglar.

*Crash*

The sound of falling boxes suddenly assaulted my ear causing me to quickly enter the room.

"What a clumsy thief" I thought

And sure enough inside my room is a person who don't resemble a thief in anyway.

Black suit and white collar shirt partnered with black skirt, her red hair seems to light the room as she lays down on the ground as she continuously sneeze her lungs out.

"Erm...."

Is this the agent?

*Achooo!* *Achoooo*

"Ah! Just what kind of place is this? Am I even on the right place?!"

For some reason I felt offended, I slowly walked towards her.

"Um.. Can I help you?"

She twitched her head towards me, her red eyes reflected my shocked and pathetic looking face.

"Ah! you! Are you the owner of this dumpster"

Now I really am offended.

"Yeah, sorry I didn't expect a visitor to suddenly arrive thus my room looked slightly dirty."

"You call this 'slightly dirty?' " she pointed at me accusingly.

"Sorry for not looking clean and tidy, can I help you or should I call the police?"

"Ah wait, wait! don't do that" She seemed scared for a second and got up from her provocative position.
She dusted herself and began to talk.

"I am sorry for my rough behavior, I'm just not used on dirty places especially this garbage room"

"Is that so... then how about we move to the living room."

" That should be even better"

She agreed and I led her out to my room.
As We sit on the kitchen stools, she had a look of stupefied on her face.

"Is something wrong?"

"Are we still on the same house?"

"Are you trying to get on my nerves?"

"I apologize but the difference from that room and this one is like heaven and earth"

I rubbed my forehead, just what kind of agent and workplace does this chick belong to?

"Well let's start over shall we?"

Her overall tone suddenly change to a business one and she arrange her hair and released a bewitching smile.

"Hi, My name is Mary and I'll be your interviewer for today"

"Hold on a second something doesn't add up"

"I'm sorry?"

"How come I'm already fetching requirements when I still haven't been interviewed yet?"

"It's because we are in dire need of staff, as you see our business if just newly established thus we rush on the requirement and then the interview will come later."

"Then what if I didn't pass the interview?"

"Don't worry about that, everyone passes as long as they're human!"

She smiled as she exclaim her dumb and odd statement.

"Okay...."

"Now then let's begin the interview but first please let go of the things that you're holding"

"Oh right..."

I released my grip on the knife and the plastic bag, wait this isn't an apple pie.

"Okay please relax this won't hurt"

She stated as the slowly reached for the knife.
In a swift motion the sliced my arm, the pain which I am suppose to feel isn't even present and what's even shocking is the blood began to float like a bubble and slowly it glided towards the girl.

"What...."

Am I dreaming?

She dipped her finger on it and then tasted my blood.

"This part is getting crazy..."

"I have confirmed that you are indeed a human, please finish all the remaining requirements and then we'll contact you for the contract signing!"

She then flicked her finger and suddenly a black circular hole whose size can almost swallow and adult human appeared behind her, she stood and waved at me.

"Have a good day sir!"

Entering the hole, she disappeared and so did the hole that she entered as if she didn't even existed in the first place.
Confirming that I didn't took any drugs or even started taking some, I came into one conclusion.

"I'm probably hungry and hallucinated all of it"

I took the plastic bag and opened the opened the box and found a chicken and rice with some gravy.

On the corner of my eye, I noticed the knife with a slight red substance on it which made me move my eyes to my arm where the hallucinated girl sliced at and sure enough there isn't even a single mark.

Ah that reminds me, I approached my room and found the boxes scattered throughout the room.

"Guess I didn't hallucinated all of that...."

I mumbled to no one in particular and began cleaning the mess.
